I remember seeing my electrical bill and wondering how 4 people can use over 300 dollars of electricity a month. I thought it was rather high for four people, and when i brought my bill to class i though for sure my bill is way too high. Some peoples bills for four people were under 100 dollars, so i wen to my dad and asked why it was so high. He told me that he never complains about the bill, because he knows with solar power it could be wayyy higher. he said before we had solar power for our water heater and rather lengthy fishpond, the bill was well over 4oo dollars. so i give thanks to the sun, as it alone saves my family lots of money

With the stomach flu for the first week of school, i knew it wasn't going to be fun. I skipped monday, and tried to come to school all week until friday i couldn't take it and was home again ill. It not really that fun having nothing to do, as i stared at the clock for the majority of the time. but as the second hand kept going around the clock, it reminded me of rotational dynamics. theres probably alot of gears in the clock rotating the hands, but i ignored that. I just imagined that if i was a little man and i had to move the second-hand, i would choose to push it way at the end, the farthest from the middle (fulcrum) becuase that is where i have to apply the least amount of force and still have a high enough torque to rotate it. torque equals force times lever arm length, so i would be correct. Jeez, now i see physics everywhere. its kinda creepy.blog #6
well, remembering how back in the oldin days wen people used to look into washing machines for enjoyment, i decided to try it out. I now can easily see how this is related to centripetal forces. you see, the centripetal force is the normal force which is exerted by the wall. this keeps the clothes spinning in a uniform circular motion during the spin cycle. When the holes open, there is no normal force keeping the water on the shirts in the circular motion so most of it flies off, which dries the shirt. physics is everywhere.

Well i got into a car crash this weekend. It sucks and for the whole time i never thought about physics. afterwards though, i looked at it and found a positive out of it. This could be another physics blog, and has everything to do with momentum. you see, i hit a range rover that had a much larger mass than my mazda. Although i was at a higher velocity and had more momemtum, the other guys car exerted a much larger impulse on my car because although impulse is force times time, its also the change in momentum and since my car went from 15mph to 0 in a split second, and his car barely rolled forward, a larger impulse was exerted on my car and therefore, destroying the front of my car. his car was hardly damaged, just a scuffed bumper because of the small impulse exerted on my car. this really sucks

As you can see, i'm at a pool. whose pool??? you need not worry. you see the clips taken were for the purpose of realizing that physics is in everyday life you see, and everyday normal thing is happening in which a large boy, is going to hit another large boy into the pool. In the beginning, both boy's potential energies are 0 and so are their kinetic energies. When the boy starts to run, it is all turned into kinetic energy while the other boy's net energy is 0. As They make contact, the boy with the kinetic energy is slowed down and loses kinetic energy as it is transferred into the other boy. As they both fall into the pool, they both share the kinetic energy the running boy had. the enrgy throughout is the same, acccording to the law of conservation of energy. Then there's a candid of the boys. go physics!!!
